About the author
Reuben Kathumba
Pharmacist | Health Literacy Advocate | Author | Entrepreneur
Reuben Kathumba is a Zimbabwean pharmacist and founder of the Health Literacy Africa Institute (HLAI), dedicated to transforming healthcare education across Africa. He holds a degree in Pharmacy, an MBA in Information Systems, and a Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Dermatology, blending clinical expertise with innovation and leadership.
He has served in the public sector at City Medical Stores (City of Harare) and currently practices at Booties Pharmacy, providing patient-centered care. Through HLAI, his books, and courses, Reuben empowers women, parents, youth, and healthcare professionals with practical, culturally relevant health education to close critical knowledge gaps across African communities.
